Master's @ UCR. Biochemistry - Graduate Student Questions

Hello,

I'm an upcoming Master's student at UCR. I'm taking the Biochemistry/Molecular Biology Master's and I had a few questions

Before I commence, I want to state my goals: I'm pre-med. I got no interviews and applied to 13 different schools and got rejected. Everyone told me to get a Master's and to KILL the GPA. I chose UCR because it's a nice school and pretty close to home and I think it's totally doable to get a 3.5+ GPA and re-apply and get in. Here are my questions

1) Anyone else in my program?

2) Should I live on or off-campus? If off, where specifically?

3) How are the girls?

4) How's the food?

5) How's the weather (I don't care about the cold, what about the heat?)

6) Is it like UCSD, UCLA where it's hardcore competition?

Thanks!

there are better things than getting into a master’s program to become a better candidate such as clinical experience. what a waste.
