matching major with college

Hi, I'm an international student and very confused about the admission process for Cornell. From what I can tell, we apply to specific colleges yet there seems to be so much overlap in what the colleges offer, no?

Since I want to major in biochemistry, or molecular biology or even biological engineering which college should I be looking at for each?

Does choosing to apply to one college e.g. life sciences increase chances of admittance? Are applicants considered for more than one college so that if they are rejected from engineering they could potentially enter arts and sciences?

Thanks in advance

bump
...
please?

im international from Canada, and its not that confusing if you actually took time to read the website. If u want to major in biochem, its CAS, engineering is in College of Engine. and yes each college has different admission rates and also for specific majors. Finally, you can do the primary/alternate option which lets you pick 2 majors/colleges so if you get rejected from one, u can be considered by the 2nd choice. hope that helps.

If we apply to two colleges at Cornell, do our teachers have to send in two forms? (One to each college)

ok..thanks
