ive been prepping for math 1 until now. im not the strongest math person and tried my hand at the math 2 last june (but cancelled my score cuz i skipped 20 ran out of time and was unsure about a lot of answers). this yr im in calc. anyhoo, is it possible to study for math 2 from now until december and have the possibility of scoring well?

Take both.

really?? how to i add a sat ii?

Just take it at the test center and you'll be billed later.

if you need prep try kaplan for the math 2, work through the book and try all the practice tests. they did wonders for me

princeton review is a great source for realistic practice tests.

Correct if I"m wrong, I don't think you can take both teh MathI and MathII in one sitting. How do you feel with PreCalc? If you're REALLY CONFIDENT, take the Math2. Also, what major are you applying to? If you're science/engineering Math2 will look a lot better. Ultmately, get teh real SAT2 book and do a practice test (they're VERY VERY REALISTIC)

the math I curve is brutal compared to math 2

here's some stuff to know:
-i'm not a math qhiz by any means but i pull A's in math and have increasingly enjoyed the subject over the years.
-i'm takin calc this year and took precalc last year
-i took the Math2 last year and FLOPPED (as in skipping 20 and being unsure about the other 30)
-i need to brush up on my knowledge of trig identities plus i havent learned stuf like recursive, parametic, polar coordinates, etc and barrons makes that stuff rally complicated
-i'm applying as a history major to college

so there u have it. right now ive been prepping for math1 just cuz that would be included in math2 anyways and i figure if i know that well enough then i could build on it for math2, whereas if id started with math2 i might be screwed if i decided to take math 1.

Yeah math 1 curve IS brutal. I scored higher on math 2 (680) than math 1 (650).

@ mememe245:
Wait, you can't take both Math I and II in the same sitting?

Also, although this has probably been addressed before, do colleges really care if you take I or II (so long as they don't require a certain one)?

Edit to my post above:

If I'm applying to top colleges that do not require, but recommend, subject tests, which will serve me better: A 680 on Math 2 or a 740 on Math 1? Even though the percentile of the Math 1 score is much higher than Math 2 score, I'm unsure as to whether or not the prestige, so to speak, of Math 2 really matters that much. Does it? What should I do next week?

What's on the Math I test, and what's on the Math II test?

For Math II... I studied the material for about 3 or 4 days but if you want to do well I would take atleast 2 weeks to study it and get comfortable.
Some problems on the exam will take a ridiculously long time if you aren't familiar with the formulas, etc.
I got a 700 on my exam :/ First time taking it.

Sorry to repost, but I really need some advice:
