I was a little surprised at what a low grade (a B+) I got considering the fact that I got above 90% for both of the midterms. I was wondering how other people did and whether anyone knew what the curve was?

I did find the final more difficult than the midterms but I felt like at minimum I would have scored around high 80s. So overall I'm a little confused.

Thinking about emailing my GSI to ask for clarification.

Without knowing the curves on each exam, you can’t really say you were “surprised” to get the grade that you got. For example, everyone could’ve scored above 90% on the midterms leaving you somewhere in the “B” range. I’d start there and then see if there were any grading errors on your final.

I ended with a B+ too (got a low A and a high B for the other midterms-- so wasn’t really surprising haha). anyway, maybe you didn’t do super well on the final (Assuming you got a 100 for homework and quizzes, a 90 on midterm 1, and a 90 on midterm 2, you’d still need a solid 85 on the final to get a 90 for the class.) The final wasn’t super easy-- so maybe you got an 84 or something. In any case, you should def. email your GSI to put yourself at ease.

I got an A; but my midterms were low A’s. from what i’ve heard, the curve was supposed to help us, but then again I have no concrete data about the curve
