I don't know which way to go on this one as both time slots are convenient for me. What do you guys think of Zworski and Reshetikhin? Those that have had either one, what did you think of the class (exam difficulty, teaching ability, etc.)?

I've had both.. Reshetikin for 1B and Zworski for 53.. Although both were really nice and funny, I wouldn't say they were the greatest teachers.. They were quite boring and spent a lot of time doing useless proofs.. Most people either slept in lecture or skipped

In terms of difficulty, I think Reshetikin is one of the more lenient 1B professors out there, and 1B is supposed to be a notorious weeder. However, I didn't feel that it was, and I'm no genius in math either, just average. His tests were quite fair and were quite similar to his practice tests. I got a B+ from him, but it easily could've been an A-.

Zworski on the other hand was more difficult. It wasn't that the subject material from 53 was harder or anything, but I found his tests more picky and unfair. I ended up with a B-

Does any one of them have a thick or hard to decipher accent?

They both have accents.. Zworski's being British and Reshetikin Russian... However, I didn't find their accents hard to decipher or anything.. I found they both spoke clearly and loudly

O, and Zworski uses powerpoint slides and then every once in awhile, he'll do an example on the chalkboard..

Re****ikhin strictly uses chalkboard

I had Zworski for 53, and really disliked him. His tests were poorly written--one of the problems on the final asked us to prove Stokes's (or was it the Divergence?) Theorem--a completely useless question that just required memorization--and his lectures were awful. He has some sense of humor, but the quality of the lecture is just bad. The main reason, I thought, was because he covered everything amazingly slowly. The first 20 minutes (at least) of every lecture were devoted to reviewing the last lecture. This wouldn't be a problem normally, but he used the same slides, with the same examples, making going to lecture every day completely useless. If you went every day, he would waste half of your time in every lecture.
