Math 312 (modern algebra) and math 351 (principles of analysis) are both proofy classes. Any of you guys know which is better to take first?

Thanks

I took 412 and 451, which are the standard versions of 312 and 351, respectively. If you haven’t had much exposure to proofs, I’d recommend algebra first since it’s a bit more intuitive. Really, though, it doesn’t matter much which one you take first. No content from one course is needed for the other, it’s just about mathematical maturity. If one of them works better for your schedule, I’d just go with that one.

Ok thanks. I took math 217 a year ago.
