Is there any difference in the content of the classes? Since 31A is geared more toward the physical sciences, is it harder than 3A? I am thinking of majoring in the life sciences and was wondering if I should take 31A or 3A..

Also, if I do go with 31A, I was wondering if it is better to take it with Fattorini at 8 AM, Khitrik at 10 AM, Valdimarsson at 11 AM, or Brown at 1:00 PM. I can only find information for Fattorini and Brown on Bruinwalk and can't seem to find anything about the other two.

Yeah, it's more difficult than 3A. It deals more with proofs too and uses the Stewart book and not the Neuhauser. Neuhauser is more practical and relevant to the biological sciences too. With 3ABC, you can't go to the higher classes (differential equations, multivariable calculus, linear algebra, etc.). If you're only going to do life sciences and you're positive you are not of the physical sciences or engineering persuasion go for 3A. If you're somewhat hesitant, you can do the 30-series.

I was also planning on taking physics 6A later on. So, is taking 31A better for calculus based physics?

The 3 series for math goes with the 6 series for physics.
