Hello,

I was wondering if anyone here had Neu for Math 53. I have been sick as a dog all week and not been able to attend many of my classes, including math.

We have a midterm coming up though on Wednesday, and I don't know anyone in that class. Someone told me to post on this forum and see if I get a response, so here it is.

Did the professor say anything about the Midterm and what is going to be on it? Things like format, # of questions, calculator allowed, need to bring student ID, etc. etc.?

Thanks so much in advance...

Make sure you buy a Blue Book.

No graphing calculators, one-page cheat sheet. (oh yeah!)
That’s pretty much it.

Thanks for the replies. Is the one-page cheat sheet double-sided?

Also, did Neu say anything about specific material that was goign to be on it? Or was it just study everything? :(

one sided. 5 problems and I think you can have a scientific calculator. here is what he said is on the test:
- plane parametric curve, tangent line, sketch
- area/arc length of polar curve
- parametric lines in 3D, orthogonal projection (dot product)
- areas and angles using dot, cross products
- uniform circular motion in space

I hope this isn’t too late.
