I’m aiming for a full score on both sections, but decided to leave them for now (I mean I’ll study them now) and focused on critical reading earlier.
Luck seems to play a role somehow. I could get an 800 on math and writing (but rarely), and my scores could suddenly drop to high 600s or high 700s.
I want to secure my scores. How can I guarantee a high 700 or 800 on both sections? Thank you so much
@BethanyD: Uhh I don’t think your scores should be THAT drastic if you really ARE capable of scoring an 800 on both sections. Even in the official SAT breakdown they give you after the test, if you score an 800 College Board reports your score range as 750-800 on that particular subject. If you really were at an 800 level you should be scoring in that range.
Math imo is the easiest to get an 800 because I dont think it requires luck, but rather a clear mind on test day. Just keep taking practice tests and review common SAT math formulas. ------> http://www.erikthered.com/tutor/
Writing is also pretty easy because it is all grammar, so again, luck shouldnt be a factor. Skill, though, IS a factor.

@JuicyMango you’re right in fact. In math, if I’m really focusing, my grade doesn’t drop drastically. I’m now using the 28 strategies book for advanced students to “fill in the gaps.”
I will focus on the page you gave me. Also, I’m working with Erica’s book. It’s very helpful.
Thank you so much.
