So I have a weird situation. I am a freshman at Virginia Tech double majoring in Stats and CMDA. I came into college with credits for calc 1 and 2 after passing the BC calc AP exam with a 5. However, VT recently revamped their calculus curriculum and suggested that I retake both classes to build a strong foundation for multi-variable calc. I went along with it for my first semester and took Calc 1. If anything, I found this class to be a waste of time as my professor wasn’t as good of a teacher as my calc teacher in high school. I finished with an A in calc 1 pretty easily and decided to skip calc 2 and take calc 3 in the Spring. How much more difficult is calc 3 from calc 1 and 2? Any special integration techniques I should brush up on before the semester begins? I also took Elementary Liner Algebra in the Fall and noticed a lot of the things I learned were on the Calc 3 syllabus (Dot and Cross Product. Area of a parallelogram with vectors, things of that sorts.), and I am also taking a second semester of Linear Algebra (Intro to Linear Algebra, just a slight difference). Should Calc 3 cause me a lot of trouble?
See if you can get the old calculus 2 final exams and try them to check your knowledge.

(Actually, you should have tried the old calculus 1 and 2 final exams before selecting you math course for the fall.)
Here are some free quizzes that help you figure out your readiness for different levels of Calculus and other math topics. The answers tell you the areas to work on and offer practice materials.
