Math Course, with intermediate algebra as a prequiste

I am planning to transfer to a CSU at Fall 2015. One of the requirements is one course in mathematics or quantitative reasoning, with intermediate algebra as a prerequisite. I didn't take intermediate algebra because I was placed into Precalculus. I took pre-calculus, but I also took statistics because it was required by my major. I checked my community college's website, and the perquisite for statistics was intermediate algebra, so did I satisfy the math requirement? Sorry if my questions sounds stupid, I just want to be sure.

The requirement is just to take a course more advanced than intermediate algebra (= high school algebra 2). Precalculus and statistics normally both qualify, since either one requires intermediate algebra knowledge as a prerequisite. You do not have to take intermediate algebra, since you have taken the more advanced courses.

Thank you so much for your response.
