Okay my community college requires me to take Statistics (Math 136) and Calculus and Analytic Geometry (Math 103)

I took the Intermediate Algebra placement test and got enrolled into classes including Statistics, but I decided to take the Pre-Calculus placement test (since I am taking Pre-Cal in high school) so I can start college at Calculus instead of something lower.

But since I say that you need Statistics should I still take the placement test?

I dont think you should have to take a lower class if your enrolled in a higher one.

Plus I looked at my school's math sequence and it show classes such as Col. Alg., Pre-Calc., and Trig which all have a line going down to Calculus 1, but classes such at statistics stop at the graph and have no line going down to Calculus 1. Is that an issue?

You still have to take Statistics even if you place into Calculus 1 or Calculus 2. The two math courses involve totally different concepts. Some majors require that the students take Statistics, normally majors in Letters and Science.

I don't think so. You need to pass like some sort of Algebra to get into stats usually. and for calc you either place into it with a placement test or you take the College Algebra, then Trig, then Pre-Calc, then Calc, and then Calc 2
