Math Dilemma

Hey y'all! I am a sophomore at an IB school, and although there is still some time left before I have to choose my DP courses, I'm already a little stressed. Many HL Math students have told me that the course is suicidal, and that I shouldn't take it. Yet, I would like to pursue a major the science field, or even engineering. Would taking SL Math hinder my chances of being accepted into a science/engineering major? I would gladly take HL, but I don't want to butcher my GPA. Please help me with this dilemma. Thank you very much.

P.S I've been scoring straight 7's in my Advanced MYP Math courses, but I suspect that they are not a real indicator of how well I would perform in HL Math.

Challenge yourself and take HL. Colleges would rather see you challenge yourself and earn a B than take a lower-level course and get an A. Plus, it probably won’t be as bad as you may think now. Best of Luck :D
