Math is good, English is horrendous. What will happen?

If i score 800s on my science and math satIIs and then a 800 on my math section of SAT I, will colleges like MIT stanford cornell etc focus on that strength rather than a pispoor reading/writing score?

How much will English hurt my chances of entrance?

BTW, I took SATIIs chem-710 math2-760
going to retake them, along with physics in the fall, when I'm not sick, tired and miserable of school.

Colleges usually focus on both, so it's hard to say. I would help if you told us your exact CR and W scores (I know you might not want to, but it's easier for us to answer if we know how bad your scores actually are).

Actually, most colleges do not focus/pay much attention to your writing score. The critical reading is more problematic for you though.

I agree. Also having a high CR score is typically more impressive than having a high Math score since many more people score high on Math than CR.
