Math Level 2. Should I Do It?

I’m wondering about this, since I have never taken an SAT Subject Test before and I heard Level 1 doesn’t really matter.

I didn’t do so hot in Algebra. I got C’s. But for Pre-Calc I got an A for my final grade. And I’m currently taking AP Calculus AB and have an A. How would I do on this exam?

Also, are there any really helpful and useful books or sites to use for studying it? I don’t mean help like, “Yeah it seemed okay I didn’t do so well on the exam though” but something like, “I used this book/site for studying for this exam. I got a really high score! A 780.”

Thanks!

As long as you have a good understanding of algebra (as well as other Math II topics), you should be fine.

Some topics from algebra, trig, or pre-calculus are not often covered in Calculus AB, so it may be helpful to review those them.

Math II is known for having a pretty forgiving curve; you can usually miss a few questions and still score 800.

Just do all of barrons practice test.

Will studying for Math 2 also help with ACT math prep? The plan is to take the ACT in February, and will be prepping heavily for math (did very well on English in practice tests)- so thinking of doing the January Math 2 to get it over with. I guess I’m asking if any of you knows if the ACT math is substantially similar to the Math 2 Subject Test.

@suzyQ7 ACT math is not similar to Math 2 and different strategies are needed for ACT math. But Math 2 prep will help ACT math prep because generally, working on harder math problems is helpful for doing easier math problems.
