I took a diagnostic practice test for the first time and got a 590. Is it possible I can increase my score by ~120 points?

Yes it is definitely possible. Make sure to study from Barron’s on the general concepts (not 11th edition, there are so many typos and mistakes that make it aweful to study from) such as volumes, area, and other review type concepts. I would say if you do not know certain things, like matrices or polars (like i didn’t), go to Khan Academy. That is what I did. I went from a 620 to a 790 between the 2 months that I took them.

Yes, 10th edition has been good from what I have used of it. I am not sure on Chem though
