Math level II subject test and Literature subject test

Hi,

I'm signed up for the SAT subject test math level II and the SAT itself. I want to kind of study for both at the same time. Does anybody know how similar the SAT math section is to the subject level II test math? I know that the SAT math is pretty simple and doesn't test past Alg II, and that the subject test will include precalc. But other than that, how similar are the styles of questions? If I study hard for the subject test, will I be kind of set for the SAT's math section?

Also for anybody who knows about the SAT literature subject test, I have the same question. Is it much different than the SAT critical reading sections (other than including poetry and being way harder). If I were to study and do well on that subject test, would I probably already do well on the SAT reading sections, or are they very different?

Thank you!

Yeah, I would imagine that studying for the math 2 exam would help you hit the SAT 1 math out of the ball park even though the questions are structured differently. I am taking the math 2 and literature subject test this saturday; I have not prepped for the literature test at all, but I have heard it is like the SAT 1’s CR.

Hope this helps…

The Math II is much harder than the SAT Math I and tests different concepts as well as your critical thinking skills. Why don’t you try taking practice tests for both and see for yourself?

I did not prep for Lit at all and got an 800, but then again I did really well in CR without studying either.
