I think they should have it, with Calculus AB concepts as the main focus with a few Math II questions. Good idea?

Don't they have the AP test for that?

Yeah, but they have an AP test for World History and US History, too.

Math III..... hum let me think about that

no.

DUDE. THAT WOULD BE SO AMAZING. I AGREE X 43840938409384.

Precalc is all about memorizing stupid formulas. Calc is about UNDERSTANDING THE WORLD.

I love Calc. Hate Precalc.

I think that saying Calc is about the world is a little overboard..Lol

But math is still cool :D

Yeah, "the world" was inaccurate. I meant "the universe."

Whats so good about derivatives and integrals? o_o

whats so good about history and literature? o_o

sick idea, math 3....
but then it would be unfair if they didnt include calc BC as well...IMO

that would literally be lovely.

I agree with poseur completely!

A much greater percentage of juniors take AB than BC, especially at smaller schools. It would really be unfair if they included BC material.

Basically everything.

Yes.

Its already unfair because a great majority of juniors don't take calculus period. Might as well make it advantageous for the few of us who did take both AB and BC as juniors.

The reason why CB stopped at Precal is because a normal highschool kid would take Precal as a senior.

Freshman- algebra 1
Sophomore- geometry
Junior- algebra 2
Senior- Pre Cal.

But for some of us, we take the fast road. (my path)

7th -algrbra
8th- geometry
freshman- algebra 2
sophomore- precalculus
junior- calculus ab
senior- calculus bc

My road was
7th grade - don't remember
8th grade - algebra
9th grade - geometry
10 grade - alg2/trig
11 grade- Calc AB
12 grade - Calc BC

I thought this was the normal road o.o and I thought the fast road was taken by those who took alg2/trig(AKA precalc) freshman year.

No, normal road is
9th - alg 1
10th - geometry
11th - alg 2
12th - precal

Precal and alg 2 are generally different classes taken on different years.

The road for the normal above average student is
8th - alg 1
9th - geometry
10th - alg 2
11th - precal
12th - calc ab

And for the super retarded/smart kids is
7th alg 1
8th - geometry
9th - alg2/precal
10th - calc ab/bc
Thats what 1 kid at my school did, too bad he wasn't very smart and like totally failed the calc AP test...

Personally, I did what anhtimmy did, except that I took both ab and bc in the same year (11th).

My school said BC was a senior only class...
I would have skipped AB if BC was available for me :[

I finished Calc II (BC equivalent + beyond) in my sophomore year :P

That's what I'm doing..except I don't think I'm retarded..lol

actually its more like:

6th grade-pre-algebra
7th grade-algebra 1
8th grade-alegbra 2
9th grade geometry
skipped precalc
10th grade-AP Calc BC

.....
at my school the route is something like this
9th alg 1
10th geo
11th alg2
12 precal

advanced student
9th geom
10th alg 2
11th precal
12 calc ab
except that i took precal+cal ab in 11th grade, so now im the only one taking BC. i agree, math III!!

hah.
my path was:

8th grade: pre-algebra
9th grade: Algebra 2/trignometry (skipped algebra here. learned all of it in 3 months)
10th: geometry honors & Precalc honors
11th: calc ab
12: self studying calc bc since my school don't have it & Discrete math & Prob and stat adv

but math III??? hmmmm........nope! I've had enough with standardized testing!
