Math Major Anyone?

Anyone know if this is good at this school? Most likely I'm going to go here so i'd like as much feedback as possible. Thanks

PS IF you're also going into UCR as freshman who chose Math Major feel free to shout out !

Are you asking if UCR has a difficult math program? If so, then yes it does, although I dont know about the 'name' of the school. I am actually a physics major looking to pick up an extra degree in math and maybe on in engineering (less I transfer), so im not a 'pure' math major. Nevertheless, with the right teachers (the ones that I have had) you will get a solid education with a pretty good challenge too. If you can, try and get John Bueti for your introductory calculus classes; he is pretty damn good test giver.

oh sweet. So Seiken i am assuming u are a UCR student? if so hope to see u there. I took up to Calculus BC does that count for anything?

if uve passed the BC exam then that clears you out of 9A and 9B, which are the first 2 parts of calc with 1 variable. However I would suggest taking 9b anyways since it covers a lot of stuff that BC does not cover (depending on the teacher). some stand-out things i can think of include finding the centroids of a mass and properties of physics such as pressure on a submerged object and the work done by a system. However with 9b already cleared, you could also take 10A simultaneously (like I did) which is the beginning of multivariable calculus.
