Math of Computation at UCLA vs Computer Science at UCI

I am currently a math of computation major at ucla and was contemplating whether to switch to the computer science department at UCI. I would like to undergo strictly computer science, but I'm just not sure if transferring is worth it. I have a 3.3 GPA, so I am unable to even apply for the CS major at UCLA.

Reasons why i'm staying:
convenience - I live 30 minutes away from here
already completed 2 years here
im still able to study computer science here, just not as strict.

Reasons to transfer:
I don't like math as much anymore.
I want to study strictly CS.

I would like some suggestions and pros/cons of what you think i should do. Thanks!

Are you still taking lower div classes? Maybe you can take more easy GE’s to pad your gpa to 3.5 to transfer at UCLA

Apply to UCI for a CS major. It’ll probably open more doors than a 3.3 in a major you don’t like very much, even if your degree is from UCLA.
