I need some advice regarding my schedule for next year (my senior year).
Currently, I have taken three years of science (enriched general science in 9th, enriched biology in 10th, and enriched chemistry in 11th) and three years of math (through algebra II). Algebra II I took my sophomore year. I started out in pre-calculus fall of my junior year but because of insane amounts of stress in my life (nothing really interesting that colleges would care about like family illness or death, just lots of homework and guy problems, lol) I ended up dropping the class halfway through first term and then picked up sociology second term so I would have a core class rather than two open hours. When I registered for classes for senior year, rather than trying pre-calc again I signed up for advanced biology. I wasn’t going to do any math or science but i decided if I was only going to have three years of math it would be better to have four years of science.
The question I have is, will colleges look down on me for only having gone through algebra 2 and not having math since sophomore year? I’m trying to decide if I should drop adv. bio and do pre-calc instead. I’m not planning on doing anything beyond the requirement in either math or science in college, so I don’t know if it matters. SAT math score was truly average, (not harvard average) a 580. Advice? thanks
