Math Placement Test Difficult?

Im going to orientation soon and was wondering how hard the math placement exam is? Are there alot of questions regarding law of sines, radians etc. ?

theres a couple of those, just know the soh-cah-toa thing (was my school the only one that taught that?) I had a rough memory of the unit circle in my head and that helped for one question. a couple logs were on there as well. guessing is not penalized. I wasnt trying at all and still passed. Bring a calculator though, it allows you to try even less.

when u mean logs do u think the rules on this page will suffice?
Thanks so much, its just math is not my forte at all!

pretty much yeah

Its pretty easy - basic algebra/geography - review big concepts and you’ll be fine.

no, that’s been standard for eons

Yeah, my school taught it too. Though, when you move on to Calculus and stuff, you don’t want to become too reliant on using it. (I felt it slowed me down when doing calculations… so I re-memorized it in a more “instinctive” way… kinda hard to describe…)

Oh, and about the math placement test… I didn’t take it, but the people I knew did worse than they though… so don’t underestimate it.

It’s freakin easy if you take it somewhat seriously and also have a calculator. But if you totally underestimate it, you can get screwed. I know someone who thought it was an extreme insult to his intelligence that he rushed through it in 15 minutes but in the end didn’t pass by two questions. LOL Had to take precalc
