so...my enrollment time was yesterday and i found out that i couldn't sign up for my math and chemistry classes because i haven't taken the math placement test... but i'm oos and was out of country all summer so i planned to take it at my sept. orientation not knowing i wouldn't be able to register for my classes at all if i took it later... so my question is, i'm screwed for my math and chemistry classes aren't i? like 0% chance of getting a good professor? both stevens and johnson are already waitlisted... is there someone i can petition or anything i can do?? please help T__T

so you can't sign up for the classes at all yet? like they block you? if you can just waitlist the classes you want to be in just in case. its not terrible if you dont get into the class you want first semester of college. just take ca of some GE's! good luck sorry if i didn't help at all. i have a habit of doing that

they block me =(... but won't it put me really behind if i can't even take math or chemistry?

my brother is having the exact same problem. he can't sign up for chem 4 because his math placement test is in 2 weeks. does anybody know a way around this? this a pretty stupid policy to not allow someone in a chemistry class because they haven't taken a math test. especially chem 4 which probably only needs fundamental knowledge of algebra.

I'm in the same situation! I'm flying down to SD on 9/17 to take it, I don't even want to think about how long the waitlists will be by then. I emailed my counselor as well as the MPE counselor, there is no other way around this apparently. I'll be happy if I just get INTO the class, I don't even care about the time or teacher at this point.
