For my math recommendation would you advise having it filled out by my precalc junior teacher who rather liked me or my senior year AP Stats teacher who loves me?

Love is stronger than like I would go for the AP Stats, assuming s/he can write

The question is does the love vs. like cancel out the knowing me for a few weeks vs. knowing me for a year. How do colleges look at recommendations from senior year teachers?

I suggest that you ask your AP Stats teacher whether s/he feels that s/he knows you well enough to write a meaningful LOR. If s/he says yes, great. If not, go with the other.

From what ive read, it appears that letters of recomendation are suppose to be written by a scholar who has known you and worked with you for a long time, preferably over a period of years. Plenty of teachers have liked me, but i have done nothing to make one love me (ive never had a teacher two years in a row, except for orchestra but im not exceptionally talented in that area). It seems that i have no one to write a letter of recomendation; id like to know how important one really is so i can plan appropriately for a course of action for the rest of my high school carrear.
