Just trying to get ahead for my kid’s orientation/registration. Background:
- premed, phsychobio likely major
- took ap chem, bio, BC, physics 1
what chem series and math series are recommended? Looking to satisfy med school requirements, easier path is better, and want to be sure to have enough background for future premed requirements.
Thanks!
My advice - no need to “get ahead” for orientation. They’ll tell your kid everything they need to know at orientation. Even if you looked stuff up ahead of time, it doesn’t really put you at an advantage, as he’ll have to sit through it again and hear the same information again. Just enjoy what’s left of his/her senior year and also having him/her at home with you.
But since you’re asking, I know you probably won’t heed my advice so you can find the stuff you’re looking for here:

The easier chem series is the 14 series, easier physics series is the 5 series, easier math series is the 3 series. Med schools don’t accept AP for pre-med requirements so your kid should not skip anything if they can help it. But sometimes they may not have any choice.
