Math 171 is a joke for a normal math-challenged person. Math majors should be banned from taking that class.

that class doesn't satisfy any of the requirements for a math major so Im not sure why you should be considering it for anything but an elective.

norcalguy: How is Back as a 171 professor? Which professor did you have? Is Back just as easy?

I had Hwang but everyone takes the same tests in a big room.

yay. its the korean guy who teaches math. does he have a big wooden stick to hit the "bad" students. -____-

i wanted to take it b/c i simply haven't yet and i feel it's an important class to have taken- i almost took it in HS but didnt fit in my schedule so i wanted to take it now.

and im not a math major at cornell- im in CALS- so i'm banned from that. i still don't need stats for my bio major but it says it's "highly recommended"

I had Back for 171. He's really lenient, and is an okay instructor, but he rambles a lot.

i have huang now
