MATH220 or MATH140?

Which would be best for a chem major? What is the difference between the two classes?

Thanks.

most premed takes math 220
math 140 is for technical & some business courses. Talk to your advisor

For chemistry majors as well as physics, I would advise you to take MATH140 and I actually think it's required. Business majors only need Math220.

which one is easier?

Math 220 is easier lol. kind of ironic since it's higher than 140 on the numerical chart.

UMD is notorious for its calculus classes - 140, 141, 241. I would advise you to stay away from them at all costs...

I agree that 141 (Calc II) is a killer, but 241 (Calc III - intro to multivariable calc) not too bad.
