I’m writing my EE on Mathematics HL, specifically the Rule of Signs by Rene Descartes. Now, my question is whether or not it would be a good idea to also discuss the implications that the theorem had? Or is it better to stick with only the mathematics(theory, proof, etc.)?

You should talk to your EE advisor in school, he/she will mark your EE.
I don’t think any of us can tell you what your professor will be looking for with this. You should discuss it with them.
If you’e an American student who only plans to apply to American schools, your performance on the EE will not matter at all.
