Maths question that is messing with my head :( :( :(

Sorry for posting in the wrong forum but this is the most frequented forum on this site and I need help.

a)-4x+y+6z=11
b)5x+y–3z=-7
c)x+2y+3z=4

Anyone able to solve these?? What is the equations of the line that all the points lie on, or is there a single point of intersection ?

It is impossible to solve with Matrices because the determinant is equal to 0. And I hit a dead end with row operations

Anyone able to help....

I got
z=0
x=-2
y=3

BUT, when I graphed them, the 3 planes intersected at a line not a single bloody point. What the hell have I done wrong !!!

Is anyone able to provide me with a solution in parametric form, its between y=3-2z and
y=-2x-1 for me both seem to work and there is only one parametric solution. If anyone is able to clear this up for me i'd be grateful thanks.

Also what it the significance of these solutions ??

bump…

give me a sec, i ll try to solve it…meanwhile … http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1208634-chance-me-vassar-ed.html

sorry, can’t help you, its taking me too long

y= -2x-1
z= x+2

Haha I know it’s a pain in the ass and no it isn’t that Dantari but thanks :D. I found the answer off an online blog ^^ it is quite an annoying set of equations. I’ll post the parameters if you guys want to know ^^.
