Maths vs Physics scores on the transfer exam

Hi

I am thinking that I MIGHT attempt to transfer to Caltech. However, some question. I am a CS/Maths double major and the amount of physics I have so far stops at around basic electromagnetism. That is, I haven't learned about inductance, magnetic fields, Faraday's law, AC and DC circuits, and special relativity, because they aren't required at my school for my degree in CS/Maths.

So, my question is, would the admission office be forgiving if I only score mediocre on the physics portion based on my background, provided that I do really well on the maths part?

I am just trying to decide whether or not I should add Caltech to my list of potential colleges to transfer as I heard that the exam is probably the most important factor of admission above anything else.

please help

cheers

you can always try

we learn about all that stuff in freshman year though >_<

Like fizix2 said–you can try, it doesnt cost you anything (well, $70 for the application). Besides, you have a year to cover those subjects…
