max transfer units for UC

i am wondering is it ok for me to take over 70 transferable units if i am planning to transfer to UCB /UCLA /UCSD. like for example 78 units. will it lower my chance to get into those school coz i am taking too many courses? and i saw some posts said that they will cournt only 70 units, if so, will the "overed" units court to the GPA?

If all your units were taking at a CC then you should be fine. I’m 99% all UCs will grant up to 90 transferable credits towards graduation, and anything after that will give you subject credit.

You can have 1,000 units as long as they’re from a CC with no effect on your application. Your chances won’t be lowered in any way.

UCs take a maximum of 90 units, but yes, anything over that still counts into your transfer GPA (assuming they’re UC-transferable courses), you just don’t get credit for them toward your degree.
