What is the maximum merit scholarship that Clemson will award? My daughter has a 35 ACT and a 4.3 GPA in the top 11% of her class. Depending on what the top award is, we may not apply to Clemson since it may not make financial sense versus other schools even though it is definitely her top choice.
@JennyPenny72 I’ll double check with my son when he gets home. He just finished college freshman year so Class Of 2022. He was accepted out of state with 33 ACT and I believe $16k per year. He is not attending Clemson but he was accepted.
I believe the maxim merit scholarship was increased to $20,000 for the class of 2023. My daughter is ‘22 and received the then maximum of $15,000. Of note Clemson site states that students must be in top 10% of class to be considered. Sounds like your daughter is right on that threshold. I’d suggest applying if she is that enamored with Clemson. Our financial packages were all over the map and not necessarily what we expected upon application.
This is good to know. Do you happen to know what the stats were for the maximum?
