I am applying to transfer for the fall of 2019. I was getting geared up to submit an application tonight after some final edits but was told I may want to match the word limit a bit more. The problem is, I have 500 and the word limit is 1500. That’s a huge limit, and I’m afraid if I try to fill that it will become filler and fluff. The prompts aren’t even that specific either? They’re “Why do you want to attend our school?” and “Why have you chosen this major?” Should I try to beef them up? I also though admissions counselors would prefer not to read a bunch of fluff since this is what they do all day every day and something concise may be better.
If you PM it to me, I will offer a brief critique. As it is difficult to judge an application essay without reading it. all I can offer at this point is quality over quantity.
P.S. I love your username.
I feel extremely foolish because I just tested the box where I submit my information and it was not the word limit - it was the character limit. Which I have far exceeded. Sorry about that!
