What did you guys think?

The first nine or so were sh-t easy, so I started to get confident -- then they suddenly got super hard. Vocab killed me. I could usually eliminate one or two answer choices, but from there it was complete guessing (which I opted for and ended up omitting only three despite being confident in very few.) The reading comprehension was hard, especially because I was rushing. D:

Grammar was generally easy for me, and sometimes they would test us on a grammar construct and then use it themselves elsewhere in the test. xP

Does anyone have info on the curve? I think I remember seeing on here that you can miss like 12 points raw score and get an 800...? (There's NO WAY I only missed 12, though, haha.)

agree about the vocab: i guessed 1 and omitted one....
that "paysan" article was freaking hard

oh well, at least it's over! (for now)

Haha, I generally didn't understand the passages until after I started reading the questions. I was like, "OH, that's what they're talking about...!"

lol i got owned by vocab.

the passages were weird. was the french's goal to gain more knowledge or to give their opinions? both seemed like viable options based on the passage.. and what can we infer about the farmer.. that he's suspicious/jealous of his superiors or that he only wants sensual pleasure?? -_- again both seemed ok to me..

thank goodness the curve is pretty good.. i think you can miss ~10 questions and get 800

same here, poseur!

i put "give their opinions"....and "jealous"
honestly i did not understand that farmer passage at all....

go curves!

there were some hard vocab ones like what does the girl do when it's sunny or something (flatter, flaner, fletrir, flechir - answer is flaner, which is to stroll) and yeah I also agree the reading comprehension passages were tedious

I hated the paysan question too! Also, there was a question about the usage of attendre that I just left blank. Did anyone get the question about the horses trotting, then galloping, then _____? I put bondissent because it sounded like the 'bound' in 'leaps and bounds', so I thought it might be jumping, but that was such a random guess. The vocab was so much harder than the study guides had prepared me for!

Yes gametime! Curves are awesome! bows down and worships the almighty curve

err... just out of curiosity, is the SAT II like the AP tests, where you have to keep your mouth shut for 48 hours afterwards? I'm presuming not...

OH, I was trying to think of a cognate for the horse one! I don't remember what I ended up putting. flkjdsfljdf that's what sucks about guessing, haha -- I never remember what I guessed.

'Bondissent' is right; world.altavista.com says it means 'leap.'

CC has an 'embargo' for a certain amount of hours after the test but it's been lifted.

ya i put bondissent
