yeah fresh meant new

I think about 13~15 wrong to get 600

Fresh could only mean new? Couldn’t have been recent as the technology is somewhat not that recent? And the answer with re-something was basically saying it was coming back… When he clearly stated it was newwfresh?

Brahm:

For lessening province, there was reducing/embodiment…that’s all I remember

we should try to find the passages like we did in march cause it will make it alot easier

What would -4 or -5 be for this curve?

disappointed with my showing today…the vocab wrecked me. Looks like ill have to retake the sat after all. On my practice tests I was scoring well on the vocab area, although on the test there were more than a handful of words that looked like japanese to me. What is the best way to prep for vocab for the june sat? Also, i had two writing sections with the finding grammar errors in sentences…does that mean that one is experimental?

edit: what did you guys put for the one that was about the small passage that talked about a girls father retiring and going on trips and not really talking to her much? one answer was condone, another was describe a pattern of behavior etc

@oRIDGEinal, I put pattern of behavior for the first one. and harsh judgment of a blunt statement for the second.

@notelitist i think i but pattern of behavior and mild criticism for second although i can’t quite remember my answer to the first one

@oRIDGEinal

Yeah, I’m pretty confident that the first one was pattern of behavior.
My rationale for the second one was that the “Be happy” is a command, not a “well-known saying.” I mean, it’s only two words.
And her reaction was sort of harsh, I’d call it more than just mild.

Hardest part of the test for me, it always gets me. Sigh. I skipped quite a few of the vocab questions. And some of the analysis questions were tough. Eh. Hoping for at least 550… ugh. Any tips on how to handle CR if I end up retaking?

I thought it was mild criticism…oh well

i put mild criticism as well.
I think the commonly used saying would be “Love dad”, although that was only half the overall statement.

Mild criticism and commonly used were the same answer choice right?

yes. 10char

well i guess i got these wrong

put mild criticism instead of harsh judgement
reducing/embodiment instead of lessening province
ebullient effusive instead of voluable cryptic
carved on instead of concealed within

Her judgement wasn’t quite harsh though, she just seemed mildly disappointed. That’s why I put mild criticism instead of harsh judgement.

Who says mild criticism is wrong?!

in preparation for the june sat what do you guys think the most effective way to learn vocab is? I missed more on vocab than id like to admit…

@hkim

Haha, I think I was the only one that thought otherwise. I just thought that “Be happy” isn’t a well-known expression, it’s just a command, or as (A) put it, a blunt statement.
