May 2013 SAT Discussion Thread

yeah the race question is 24…i’m pretty sure about that

I put obdurate for the SC about the lady…

Do you guys remember the math question with the Kilowatt/Hours production from May- September and it asked what October would be if it was 3/5 of may - september’s output? I got 42.97, so I put 43.0

@meredithwalsh I got assiduous.

@Hendrix96 Im pretty sure it was 15

@Hendrix96
I got that at first…but then i realized it was the combination of May and September…not from May to September…so i got 15 for an answer

Oh, I just looked up obdurate. I think assiduous is wrong…crap.

was the neurology reading passage experimental?

honestly, people keep saying this test was easy… but i really think it was harder than usual

For Math I got 1 grid in wrong, 1 MC skipped, and lets say i got 2 more mc wrong
For CR lets say i got 1-2 wrong and 1 skipped
For Writing 9-10 essay and 4-5 wrong,

Whats my score?

@Hendrix I’m pretty sure the answer was a whole number. Did you do May TO September? Cause the question was asking for May AND September.

Does anyone remember the question about Set A and Set B where 7 was the median, etc.

^ i know! i usually perfect SC’s but this time i got 2 wrong!!! :(((((((

@ mash10 The answer was 10.

Does anyone remember the grid-in question that had an answer of 2?

My thoughts about the test:

CR: Easier than usual
Writing: Standard-Easier
Math: Harder but not too much harder.

Can someone state what the sentence was for the the assiduousness vs obdurate sentence completion about the lady running a business ?

Was section 3 or 4 experimental?

I thought that the readings were actually quite interesting.

@DivisionByZero I also got 10…I remember I did that problem the last few seconds of the section…lol

it was like the lady was ______, even after what she tried for the company had failed to work, she didn’t realize and kept going or something
