May 2013 SAT Discussion Thread

I got the boundary one wrong. I said it was more productivity.

I remember Arcane, Disparate, Unnerving, Postulate, and Exhortation.

What was the answer to the one that said if 2^x=8^y, then 8^(x+y) = ?
I think I put 2^(4x) but I was totally guessing.

For the flexible schedule, the question about passage 2 contradicting 1was the answer about like financial or no

@dmdzco
I might’ve actually put 10 and I don’t remember it, but didn’t the question just say 5 numbers so 5,6,7,7,10 be a solution?

Although if it is 6 total numbers, can you tell me the numbers?

I believe it was 2^(4x). I plugged in hypothetical x’s and y’s and got that.

was exhortation a SC because i remember putting that in a reading comp

wait so was boundary the right answer for that question?

^ Yea, i think it was in reading comp

Any other suburb question? How about other deception questions: did passage 2 use to historians to support the underlying theories? why did the historians criticize passage 1?

@hula755 I didn’t get that question? Was it experimental?

Bonabo2345, what historians are you referring to exactly? I don’t remember anything of the sort in there.

I made x=3 and y=1 and voila I think it worked.

Another answer was “elective . . marginalized”

It’s 7 total numbers. It said use 5 numbers once the use 1 number twice. The 7 is that number. Answer is
3 5 6 7 7 9 12
Those numbers add up to 49
The question said 7 was median and mode. Divide 49 by 7 total numbers = 7 as the median which falls in line with the question. If you replaced the 9 then they would all add up to 50. 50/7 is not 7

Hula, 2 to the power of 4x is correct. If you plug in 3 for x and 1 for y, you’ll see why.

@yakisoba It might have been. Tests 3, 4 and 7 were math for me.

I used x=6 and y=2 as both would be 64.

The early thinkers who were really opposed to lying

You also got rid of the 3 and the 9. It said replace only 1 number. Not 2
