May 2013 SAT - figuring out experimentals

So everyone can be clear on which experimentals they got, just post your extra section and things you remember from all the sections. I had an extra CR and had passages about salsa, deception, moving to the suburbs, migrating birds, Persia asking someone to leave, scientific funding,

From what I’ve heard, the CR section with the topic about corn was experimental. I however did not get this section so I guess that justifies that assumption.

@ futfsu1

I had a CR experimental, but I didn’t have the corn one. I had the Persia one.

Birds and Persia section was definitely experimental. I had 2 writing sections back to back ughhh, I can’t even tell them apart.

^ I had two writing parts too, I took the international test and I think it was the one about dogs that was experimental.

I had an experimental math section. I think it was the one with buying books from different groups? anyone have that one?

And my CR passages(definitely not experimental, had the right # of them) included moving to the suburbs, deception, salsa, and scientific funding. Nothing about asking someone to leave, Persia, or corn.

I had an extra math section I believe.

I don’t remember like any of the questions though off the top of my head. Anyone else got an extra math section?

I had two writing back to back too…70 writing questions like that is painful.
I know I screwed up the first of the two writing sections, so I hope that is the experimental.

i got writing as experimental section also. was section 4 the experimental section?

no section 3 was experimental

Just wondering if anyone else had this math question:

“Which number exceeds 50% of itself by 10?
A)5
B)10
C)15
D)20
E)60”
*badly worded but you should get the gist.

Because that was in the math section that I thought was experimental but I just want to confirm.

@jadenio
no i had that math question too and my experimental was writing…
i think the writing section with the TOP40 radio thingy is the experimental, since everyone has the cook one

I think the experimental was section 4 because I had a 2 maths in a row in section 3 and 4 and section 3 was my only math section with a grid-in. Anyone else have a math experimental with no grid-in? Question 19 was something like “Find k when ax+by=c and y=mx+k.”

that question basically asked for what values of x was the function less or equal to 1 iirc

The experimental I believe was the parabola question 2x^2 + bx + c, what is the value of b+c.

not one of my friends had that question

i believe the experimental section was 7 the math one

I believe I had a CR experimental about coral reefs or atolls or something. Was it experimental or am I mistaken?

I just want to clarify, by “experimental” do you all mean “it does not count”?

I had math experimental (international)
Do you know what the answer for the scatter plot was? I think it was the last question and we needed to find the median for height and volume.
