i just wanna know why people say its x-18 not x-16!!
i pluged in like 5 points and the answer was x-18 !
If it has a slope of 1 then that means that y=x, but because x started at 16, therefore y=x-16. I’m not sure but that’s how I did it
@amregysat i know but the line that best fits the points is x-16 not x-18 if u look at the line itself not the points
I’m pretty sure you can’t just plug in random points because they give you the line of best fit
and also the question is about the line that best fits the point not the points itself right??

@Kombeler sorry man I kinda forgot how the graph looked like but I assume that if the slope is 1 then y will equal to x. If you choose x=17, for example, because x starts at 16, then y=17-16=1. But if the answer were to be x-18, then y=17-18=-1, which doesn’t make sense. I hope u understand what I’m talking about I’m not really good at explaining
