In the next couple of years, I’m interested in applying to the 2 year MBA program with a focus in entertainment (MEME curriculum) as an international student. I’m in my late 20s and my education would be equivalent to an associates degree here. I will probably do a undergrad BA degree in my home country because I can’t afford it in the U.S. My goal would be to work at a studio or network on the creative side, such as in development. The reason I’m interested in an MBA instead of a MA/MFA is if I’m not able to get an H-1B visa here. Having an MBA would have more value if I have to return home.
So my question is, what should I be doing to prepare for the program? From what I read online, I’ll have to take a GRE/GMAT test. I tend to struggle with Math (haven’t taken any courses since high school) but I want to improve my skills. How difficult would the program be for someone who isn’t good at Math? I wasn’t able to find a detailed curriculum online with complete course descriptions for each year.
