MBA vs. MAcc

Just out of curiousity, what are the advantages, for an aspiring CPA, to getting an MBA over a MAcc, and vice versa? Does it really matter if you are simply shooting for the CPA license?

Thanks in advance.

Did you ever find an answer to your question? I'm wondering the exact same thing.

If you want to become CPA-certified, you should go with a MAcc, which is more specialized. Only get the MBA if you're thinking about pursuing other careers with an accounting degree. MBA is a very broad business curriculum. However, you could still get the credit requirements in with an MBA if you take the right courses. In MAcc, you will pretty much be taking ALL accounting courses. It's better if you want to advance your career specifically as an accounting professional. Now let's say you want to learn accounting but really want to be an i-banker. Then get an MBA.
