MBA vs MS Leadership-pathway to Ph.d in leadership

I am trying to decide whether or not to pursue a MBA in global leadership and/or economic development or a MSOL in leadership prior to earning my Ph.d in leadership. My goal is to manage a nonprofit organization I have founded, serve as a mission worker in India and Africa, and become a published writer. Unfortunately, I am racking up a great deal of student loan debt without fully understanding my ROI.
I am considering the MBA to broaden my business skills; however, the MSOL prepares students for the Ph.d so this may be a better choice. Also, I am considering Nyack, Regent, and Eastern University. Attending a Christian graduate school is a must for me. Do you have any opinions on these schools? It is unrealistic for me to attend an Ivy League school and I am not looking to earn a degree to "get a job." I have a vision for my life and I am training to fulfill it. I look forward to your feedback. Thank you.
