Here's the deal, I'm taking General Chemistry, introductory Biology, and other major requirements now (Sophomore year). I have just started preparing for the MCAT and realized that I have a problem. I will not finish Organic Chemistry or Physics until the end of my Junior year. The all consuming question for me immediately became: Should I rely on my MCAT prep and take the test in January of my Junior year or should I wait for the end of Organic and Physics to take the test summer between Junior year and Senior year? This is tough because I feel like I would be better prepared in the summer between Junior and Senior year but I also feel like the January test time is a better bet even if I have to retake the test (which I really don't want to do). Your opinions would be appreciated.

It depends partly on what you mean by "summer." August is bad strategy. May is probably fine.
