MCB Major without bio 1a/1b

<p>I'm planning to me a MCB major and aping out of bio 1a and 1b. I was wondering if I not taking bio would put me ad a significant disadvantage. </p>

<p>Can anyone with some experience shed some light on this area?</p>

<p>you should probably take bio 1a. even if you got a 5 on ap bio, you know nothing now compared to what you’ll know after that class.</p>

<p>Yeah, most MCB majors can AP out of Bio 1A/Bio 1B. However, I do not know a single MCB major who did not take Bio 1A/Bio 1B at Cal. So you’re probably going to end up taking it…</p>
