MCB N61 Summer Session

What does the "N" mean in "MOLECULAR AND CELL BIOLOGY N61"? Also, schedule.berkeley does not list the time and place of the course. I'm assuming it is an online course, but I am not certain. Can anyone please help clarify. Thanks.

N means that it is non-equivalent to the regular MCB 61 class in some significant way. You are correct, it is an online course.

Thanks, that helped a lot!

Does anyone know if the grades for MCB N61 are composed of anything else besides the final we take on campus? I’m just wondering if there’s also online homework/quizzes/tests… thanks!

So if your major requires MCB 61 would MCB n61 not count? (i’m double majoring in cog sci and it requires either mcb 61 or 64)

MCB N61 should count.
For example, for Haas, Stats N21 counts for Stats 21

Does anyone know if this will count towards the Public Health prereq? I’m just a little confused because since the course is nonequivalent to a regular MCB 61 class, if the course will count overall.

ya it counts

Oh, have you already confirmed it with someone? I noticed that you are taking it as well to fulfill the PH prereq.
