When do you think more McCombs acceptances will be released? Texas is my 1st choice and I'm extremely nervous

My status showed ‘in review’ for almost two weeks now… I’m worried if my decisions will be the last to come out – rejections ):
Have a lot of OOS students received their decisions?

No one from my school has received one i believe, but I’ve heard of others

No one from my school has heard either. Mine has been in review since the middle of October.

plenty of students have heard from my school (i’m from texas) but there are a lot of students including me that haven’t heard back yet. I’m confused because there are plenty of students who have lower sat’s and ranks than me but have still got in… anyone have any insight ?

I got into McCombs, and drove to Austin for an information session. They said it’s very holistic. 1/4th extracurricular activities, 1/4th recommendations, 1/4th essays, and 1/4th academic profile.

Truth be told, it’s all about how you frame your story. In my school, I was top twenty percent, while this other guy was top 8%. He had a 2300 on his sat, I had a 35 on my Act.

He beat me academically. However, I also started my own investment club, got a recommendation from a finance professor at Columbia, as well as formatted and streamlined my extracurricular activities into a resume. I also wrote my essay on Clayton Christenson, and his book, the innovator’s dilemma.

I got in, he didn’t. It’s all about how you present yourself.

@gettingschooled This particularly worries me…the above post…I thought it was based half on AI and half on PAI…is this guy wrong?
