<p>Quite a few kids received McCombs acceptances last Friday. Many OOS kids and non auto-admits were included in that batch. When should we expect the next McCombs batch to come out? Later this month? January? </p>
<p>It maybe later this week from what I am hearing around school and all. I don’t see any correlation in the students they are handing acceptance letters to. One kid is ranked 20% and other is top 10 and both get accepted on the same day. I believe the acceptances given out so far are according to submission date. My friend who is ranked top 20% applied in mid-Sept. to McCombs and got in on Friday. I applied oct. 13 or something for engineering and natural sci. in-state, and haven’t heard anything.</p>

<p>@vs1997 - Do the kids at your school have some sort of inside information? Why are they guessing later this week?</p>
<p>we are a “feeder” school to UT, meaning we get over 50-70 kids that get accepted to UT, and many have siblings that attend UT, and they get info from them. My guess is probably over winter break though. </p>

bump - Well obviously nothing came out over break. Has anyone heard when the next batch could be?
they sent out some rejections actually over winter break. couple of my friends got rejected. but i am thinking it is end of jan or beg. of feb.

yes, one of my friends applied to Computer Science. (instate btw)

SAT: 1850
ecs: nhs and 4 years cross country.
i believe that it is his SAT that hurt him. I am around the same as him, but my GPA is 4.4/5.0, SAT is 2090 and SAT math 2 is 790, and i have ec’s. 3 years varsity football, aero eng. internship at ut, all state academic and all district academic football, several state comp. medals for science bowl and science fair, and good rec letters including one from the professor i worked with at UT.
still havent heard anything, so I am worried

My son got an email from BHP and it said that a record 1300 people applied for BHP this year. It also said that the final admissions offers would go out in February. Hope that helps and good luck!
I have been hearing that admissions next wave is released on this friday. dont know for sure
