Did you do the US Self reported grades section and I can I asked how you entered them? I am very confused on the use of “Final” grades. My school is semester. Thanks and congrats to your son!

Well, I am not sure how much I can help you as he did this on his own. His school is trimester based so, he put in his first trimester grade. He tells me there was a drop down box where he chose “trimester”. One can choose “semester” also. Then, it had a place where he put in “incomplete” as the classes were not complete. He tells me he put in the letter grade. I am not sure if this is of any help!

Received email yesterday that decision was in Minerva. Fwiw: Dual citizen. Accepted into Engineering. Good luck to everyone!

TY! That is super helpful actually!

My D got the acceptance letter into Engineering, too. Canadian living in US.
Did you receive any scholarship notification?

For those whose students are dual Canadian citizens living outside of Canada they may qualify for the Quebec tuition rate. They would need to have been born outside Canada and not have lived in Canada for more than three months. A lot of paperwork required but big savings on tuition. See Situation 8c.

Thank you for the info. But, she is not eligible for the Quebec tuition rate.
I saw some got the one-year entrance scholarship with the offer and want to know it is in this year’s offer.
If it is true, she doesn’t need to bother to apply major entrance scholarship. ^^;

Sometimes, the one-year entrance scholarship takes a few more days to show up in Minerva. It is under a finance tab as I recall from my daughter’s acceptance in 2019.
You can also see the “minimum requirements” for the major entrance scholarship and decide if she/he should apply.

I thought just being a Canadian citizen, regardless of which country you reside in, qualified you for the lower tuition.

For those asking about self reported grades, we put in whatever her last marking period grade was and pretty much got an immediate admission.

Yes, but if you are a Quebec resident, or a Canadian who can qualify for Quebec residency, you get an even lower tuition. The savings are significant in either case, depending on which faculty you are admitted into. I was hoping that S2(CAN born outside Canada) would consider McGill, as the tuition would be absurdly low compared to similar schools in the US, but he won’t. Too many “war stories” from S1, who is a senior at Desautels.

Quebec has three tuition rates, unlike other provinces:
Quebec resident
Other Canadian citizen
International

Is McGill rolling missing? How long expect get the decision? Thanks

McGill has its own version of rolling admissions. In general, applicants with the highest stats receive their decisions first. If you are close to the published minima decisions may not come out until March.

Hi. D got accepted on Dec 23rd in both programs she applied to, BSC Physics and B Computer Engineering. She accepted the Physics offer yesterday and today she was offered, and she accepted, a 3.000$ one time entrance scholarship offer. She is sending tonight her application for the Major Entrance Scholarship. What are her chances of getting one? She is a French citizen.

Also, if she does not get a Major Entrance Scholarship, she can still keep the One Time scholarship, correct?

Did you see the one-time entrance scholarship offered after accepted the offer?
My D got accepted BEng Software Engineering on Jan 5, but no entrance scholarship available.

Yes. She was accepted on both programs on Dec 23rd but it was only after she accepted one (and automatically declined the other) that she received the one time scholarship offer.

No, the one-time scholarship disappears when students are awarded the major entrance scholarship! This is what happened to my daughter 2 years ago!
