I note from the McGill website that US High School applicants are required to send either their SAT I with two SAT Subject Tests, or just their ACT with no Subject Tests. We are trying to decide whether my daughter should retake a 33 ACT test with the sole goal of raising her 28 Math. She will be applying to the Science and Arts & Science faculties and has a 4.0/4.7 gpa. Not sure if it is wise to run the risk of lowering the overall composite just to raise the math score. (She just retook her SAT and received a lower score than her first attempt, hence the concern!) She will be taking the SAT Math Level 2 Subject Test in June. Could we send admissions her current ACT score along with a solid score on the Math 2 SAT Subject Test to offset the lower ACT math score when assessing her application? Since Subject Tests are technically not a requirement in conjunction with the ACT, I am wondering if they wouldn't be taken into consideration, much like extra-curriculars.

Thanks very much! McGill is my daughter's #1 choice, and trying to keep her chances as great as possible!
