Is anyone on this thread applying from US high school where they will get a US diploma and also concurrently pursuing the IB diploma?
Here’s the situation: My son indicated that he was also pursuing the IB Diploma somewhere in his application (which he did back in Nov). We long had the request to self-report US grades which we finally did once we had his first semester grades. A day later, a new request showed up for predicted IB exam results.
We were under the impression that for students doing the IB diploma concurrently with a US diploma, students are evaluated for admission based on US diploma/grades, and the IB diploma/results would be used for possible advanced placement.
Has anyone else received this request? Our son exceeds what is listed as the minimum requirements for US applicants and did also submit SAT scores that exceed the minimum. However, our school is telling us that what is posted as the minimum predicted exam results are much higher standard that the A- average, 1400 SAT requirement for US students applying to the Faculty of Science. I wonder if others can weigh in on this and if you are in the same situation and have also been asked for predicted exam results?
Hey guys,
I am an international student trying to apply for financial aid. Does anyone have any idea where the McGill Minerva aid application is? It is not showing up on my financial aid/ awards tab on minerva. Can anyone help me?
it depends on faculty you applying to. The minimums are also listed on Mcgill website . for US HS graduates for example - to be safe for Faculty of Scence - you have to have all A-s at least in 10-12 grades , and min SAT 700 in both math and english .
Hello! I was recently admitted into the faculty of arts as well as Civil Engineering as an international student. My decision states Admitted Pending Final Results. Does anyone know the difference between Admitted and Admitted Pending Final Results? I looked on the website and still am unsure what the big difference is.
The only applicants who receive a decision of “Admitted” are students who have already completed their secondary education. All others receive “Admitted Pendng Final Results”.

Congrats to your daughter!
Yes, it is great! That is what our daughter has and she has been able to maintain it for 3 years. It looks like she will be OK for next year too! Remember they have to maintain a certain GPA (it used to be 3.7 but they have lowered the first year, I believe). It is a lot of work but doable to maintain this GPA.
Let me know where she chooses to attend.
My DS had further review required when he had an outstanding item on his checklist. He turned that in and now his status is Reviewed - Decision Pending, which I understand to be something similar to being deferred but we don’t have a date by which they will make a final decision. I did see on threads from previous years that sometimes that status remains until after the May 1 deposit deadline for other schools. Anyone have any insight on how/when “Reviewed -Decision Pending” changes to a final result? Is it on a rolling basis?
I’ve been accepted, but my checklist says I need to submit “Final Official Univ Transcript”. Does this refer to high school transcripts? It also might refer to my community college transcript (I took one course), but I have already submitted my community college official transcript.
